JIREH BIBLE HOUSE INAUGURATED

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera in company of the First Lady Madam Monica Chakwera has officially opened the Jireh Bible House which is situated in Area 3 in the capital city of Malawi, Lilongwe.

After opening the building, the President was taken on a tour of the building which comprises offices and a Bible shop.

The President later cut a ribbon and unveiled a plaque before signing a visitors book.

Part of the building will be rented out and the proceeds will go towards subsiding the cost of Bibles.

The opening of the building was later followed by an interdenominational thanksgiving service of worship at Lilongwe Golf Club.

The project started in 2018 and has been constructed to the tune of K3 billion

The Jireh Bible House seeks to achieve self- sustainability for the Bible Society. Self-sustainability is not an end in itself but a goal worth pursuing so that we deliver the ministry before us with honour and dignity. Therefore, the dream is to have a Bible Society of Malawi which is able to raise all the financial resources to carry its task of making the Word of God readily available to all her people.
