Jireh Bible House Project

If you visit Blantyre on Victoria Avenue, one of the buildings you cannot ignore to see is the Bible House which was built in 1974. This building has helped the Bible Society to reach you and Malawians with the Word of God at heavily subsidized prices.

In its mandate to serve Christ and His Church by translating, producing, distributing and encouraging people to use the Scriptures, the Bible Society decided to embark on a project to sustain the mission moving forward.

About the Project
Bible Society of Malawi (BSM) is building a 3- storey building in Lilongwe. The new Jireh Bible House will house BSM offices, warehouse and a Bible Shop. The extra floors will be let out as an income generating facility and the income realized will be used to sustain the mission of the Society including subsidizing the price of the Bibles so that we continue to sell Scriptures at a price which is affordable to everyone.

Why the name ‘Jireh’
Because we believe God is the provider of every resource needed and that includes using people like you.

The progress
The work on site has progressed well and we are expecting that all things being equal for the new building to be handed over to us by 31st August 2020. For now we humbly ask you to join us in :
✦ praying for the project completion.
✦ praying for financial resources for the project to be completed.
✦ praying for the safety of workers currently on site.
