Creation care

What started as a movement among the youth, inspired by the Bible and fueled by a passion for environmental stewardship, is now becoming a mandate the Bible Society of Malawi has embraced.

A look back

In December 2022, the youth under the Bible Youth Advocates (BIYA) Project planted 320 indigenous and fruit trees in Zomba, in Zomba southern part of Malawi. Today, the Bible Society is transforming the place into a garden she is committed to care as part of the Biblical mandate on the environment.

Making an Impact

Mphatso Bello of the Bible Society of Malawi and Mr. Gary Jumbe Board chair, stands in awe at the thriving nursery. Bello emphasizes the biblical mandate to steward the environment, pledging the Society’s support. “This initiative aligns with our duty to care for God’s creation,” he declares.
